Capt. Abdul Rauf B. Mukadam
A seasoned Master Mariner with over 48 years’ of experience in the maritime industry, with 32 years at sea, having 21 years of command experience on a wide range of vessels ranging from general cargo, break bulk, containers, heavy lift, handy size, handy max, supra-max, Panamax, and cape size bulk carriers. Experience in handling cargo, from bulk ore and grain to break bulk, heavy lift, project cargo, timber, and containers, and having 16 years of shore-based experience as a Marine Consultant, Internal Auditor, Faculty Lecturer for STCW BST Courses, P&I and Marine Warranty Surveyor, Port Captain. Port State Control Officer, Marine Regulation Officer, and Accredited OVID Inspector liaising with Mesaieed Port, Management, Qatar. Additionally, have worked as a Project Manager, overseeing offshore vessels, deck barges, and accommodation work barges in the Oil and Gas industry. Also, worked as a Marine Consultant for Class IRS in regard to preparation of Emergency and Oil Pollution and Spill Response Plan.
Familiar with all IMO statutory conventions and codes such as SOLAS, MARPOL, FAL, SUA, STCW, Convention for Containers, Ballast Water Convention, MEPC etc, and other conventions related to prevention of Marine Pollution by Marine Transport, such as Oil pollution casualty, Dumping of waste and other matter, OPRC, HNS Protocol, Anti-Fouling, Recycling of Ships. Conventions covering liability and Compensation-CLC, FUND 1992, LLMC, HNS, Bunker oil pollution damage etc.
